Wanna hear a funny story?
I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it before but Ian talks non-stop. Just chatters away. Talks CONSTANTLY. It’s like a running stream of consciousness coming out of his mouth.
He’ll pick something to talk about and he’ll repeat it over and over and over and over. Until you acknowledge it, of course. And then he picks the next thing to repeat over and over and over and over and over and over until you acknowledge THAT. Rinse, repeat, rinse, repeat.
So, on Thursday, Mike drops Ian off at school and they’re waiting in the hallway for the classroom door to open. Ian is doing his normal, non-stop chatter while they’re waiting and the other student and mom in the hallway are giggling about his chattering.
When the door opens, Mike takes Ian in and they’re talking. Mike stops to tickle Ian a bit and Ian was giggling about it.
Ian’s teacher then says, “That’s the most I’ve heard Ian talk the entire time he’s been coming to school!”
The other parent says, “You should have heard him in the hallway!”
Clearly they don’t know the REAL Ian. 🙂
