Last Saturday, we made our annual trek up to Lewiston for the parade and Peach Festival. This year we planned ahead and we (mom, dad, me) went up early to snag some good seats for the parade. Mike followed later with the boys.

Waiting for the parade to begin and the boys to show up:

Finally, Mike and the boys show up and we quickly get Ian situated with us:

It took a bit longer for Mike and Matthew to find a place to leave our stroller and get through the crowd to sit with us but they made it:

(They were followed by a man pushing a wheelbarrow…their own personal crap-catcher. lol)

In the past, Ian’s really loved every parade we’ve gone to. This time, everything started off great but things quickly fell apart when a Navy plane started doing fly-overs. At first, Ian thought it was pretty cool but after 2-3x of the fly-overs, it started scaring him.

The plane that scared the bajesus out of Ian:

Mike not amused by Ian’s screaming, trying to ignore it:

Ian and Mike had to walk away after this point. Ian was seriously wigging out and was pretty much convinced his life was in danger. He was screaming bloody murder and was desperately trying to talk Mike into going back to the car and leaving. Of course, he only cared about himself, Mike and me. Apparently he didn’t care what happened to Mom, Dad and Matthew. lol

As the parade was winding down, Mike and Ian came back and then we walked over to the festival grounds for some food and to let Ian ride on the carny rides. The festival grounds were PACKED so finding seats, getting food and getting Ian on/off rides turned into a nightmare. Hopefully next year goes a bit better!
