This was our last day at the beach so it was spent doing last minute shopping, packing, and hanging out with the family.
The first order of business was a walk down to Jennette’s Pier.
(It was partially destroyed by Hurricane Isabel in September 2003 and rebuilt in 2011.)
Our house is the yellow house:
Our house is just above Matthew’s right shoulder in this picture:
There were lots of people fishing on the pier:
In fact, we watched someone haul in a stingray!
The land is very narrow at this point of the Outer Banks. In fact, while walking back down the ramp to the parking lot you can easily see the sound on one side and the ocean on the other.
When we got back to the house, we discovered that it was tie-dye day in the Outer Banks. Well, at least for our family. 🙂
There is little I love more than a “throw back your head and laugh” picture. It always makes me smile. I love that kid. 🙂
Aunt Rachel even got in on the action!
After lunch, Kaitlyn sang “God Our Father” for me. OMG, I love this kid too. LOL

The rest of the day was spent getting ready to leave. While we were busy packing, Matthew took a nap in Grammy’s bed. I love the way he sleeps.
