Since Ian is doing Cub Scouts, we thought we’d sign Matthew up for soccer so that they both had their own “thing” this fall. The first session was September 28th which coincided with Homecoming for our school district. It was a gorgeous day so they had all the sports teams outside for practice/games, had music playing, were doing climbing on the rock wall, selling shirts and other school spirit things, and were giving away popcorn, cotton candy, and sno-cones. it was fun atmosphere but the parking lot was complete chaos! They had people directing traffic and telling you where to park and it was still complete chaos. LOL
Just like when Ian did soccer through the school district, they have the high school coach run the sessions with the varsity team acting as assistants.
I thought soccer was going to be indoors in the gym as it has been in the past and was completely unprepared to be sitting in the sun for an hour. Even with my back to the sun, I still got a sunburn on my face, chest, and arms. This girl was not built to spend time out in the sun. I blame my Irish and English ancestors for that. LOL

Water break!
After that, they did a few scrimmage games and water breaks.
