In May, the Cub Scouts celebrated a school year of good behavior by having a swimming party at one of the local YMCAs. After swimming for an hour, we moved upstairs for pizza, cake, and some bingo!

This YMCA facility is only about a year old. The zero depth entry on this pool was great for the younger kids.

Getting some instructions from the lifeguards

All of the kids had to show the lifeguards that they could walk or swim across the deep end before the swimming could start.

As a parent of not-yet-swimmers, swimming parties are an extremely stressful experience. With this many boys in the pool, it was nearly impossible to keep an eye on Ian which was a bit scary.

Half-hearted smiles because they didn’t want the swimming portion of the party to end. Meanwhile, Mike and I were celebrating the fact that the boys didn’t drown. Woo!!!!

PIZZA!!!!

BINGO! Ian won a round which caused a lot of drama with Matthew. LOL
