Orientation/Supply Drop-Off:
A train theme to start the year!
He immediately headed for the Play Doh:
Birthday board for both 3 year old classes:
Check out that class list….3 girls and 11 boys in his class this year.
(Apparently the Tu/Th class is the exact opposite – mostly girls with just a few boys. Strange, huh?)
Moms & dads leaving for the parents meeting. Matthew was clearly all broken up about us leaving the room. Please note that he’s the only child facing the bulletin board and ready for class to begin. LOL
The parents sneak back in for dismissal. Matthew doesn’t realize we’re there yet….
Ready for his name to be called:
Hugging the random [germ covered] class mascot?
Posing with mom and dad:
First day of school:
We had a little chalkboard photo shoot after Ian got on the bus…..
Cheese!!!
Before walking in for his first d ay:
Hallway down to his classroom:
Monday/Wednesday class and their families:
Distracted by the chaos at drop off:
Immediately heading off to play with the toys despite the colossal amount of separation anxiety his classmates were experiencing!
“What? Oh yeah! Bye, mom!”
He may have been Mr. Independent at drop off but he was darn excited to see us at pick up time!
I love this boy more than words could ever begin to express.
Checking out his class on the way out:
After that, Mike and I took him to Chili’s for lunch (his request). He was super tired and barely ate but it was nice to have that one-on-one time with him!
So….that’s the belated 1st day of school pictures for Matthew. Better late than never, right? 🙂
