…at Red Robin, Mike and I decided we were going to try to take the boys out to eat on roughly a weekly basis. We figured, after a while Ian would learn what we expected from him behavior-wise. And Matthew would grow up knowing how to behave.
We went to Tully’s for lunch and then afterward we did some shopping at Target.
Ian did very good at both. We had some grouchy moments at Tully’s but he was distracted fairly easily. At Target, Ian got a little upset that he couldn’t have EVERY car in the car aisle. But, again, he really was okay about the whole thing.
Matthew was a very good boy as well. He needed out of his highchair at Tully’s because he didn’t fit very well in the seat. He kept sliding down into uncomfortable positions which made him a little grouchy. He ended up sitting on my knee for the last 10 minutes of the meal and helped me finish my fat-free pasta salad. Overall, he was VERY interested in everything we were eating. (I think the transition to 100% table foods is going to be very easy.) He was a little sweetie at Target as usual.
So, all-in-all it was a really pleasant experience. Let’s hope it continues!
