I have no idea how many posts this will be, how much I will share, or how long it will take me to share. I took roughly 1,000 pictures and recorded ~90 videos during my two week trip to Ireland. I haven’t watched most of the videos and managed to narrow the pictures down to more than 400. Still, too much to share. I’ll figure it out along the way. 🙂
Here are some pictures around Limerick during my trip, in no particular order.
My first meal in Ireland was at this McDonald’s. I was so overtired and overwhelmed that I just wanted food from “home”.
The french fries and drink tasted just like they do in the States but the meat on the burger tasted a little different – it was made with local beef according to the tray liner and the million commercials I saw on tv during my trip. Probably didn’t have all the fillers and preservatives we have here. 🙂
I appreciated the reminder:
King John’s Castle:
My hotel:
Sunrise over Limerick:
Double rainbow:
Disneyland Paris commercial on tv!
Jerseys hanging in the lobby of my hotel:
A typical commute back to the hotel after working all day….
Sitting in traffic and noticing all the cars parked on the sidewalks. LOL
Limerick fire department
I took the wrong turn at this intersection 3 days in a row before I got it correct. With a GPS. LOL
Found this in a bookstore:
The hotel had an underground “car park”. It was on level minus 2. I’m not sure why this amused me so much but it did.
The parking spots were INSANELY tight and it wasn’t just me that thought so. There were a large number of people parking strategically so as not to have to park next to another car or a support post. LOL
Driving in from the airport, I kept seeing signs for a castle along the road. I figured it was one of those things you had to get off the highway and drive a bit to get to….yeah, not so much. I seriously did a double take because it was literally right next to the highway. LOL
I took this picture on my return trip to the airport so I’m on the opposite side of the highway. It was literally right next to the road.
More pictures to come……
