After our show, Mike and I went up to our room to change and then we went out to explore the Strip at night. It was probably 10-15 degrees cooler out and there was no sun to burn our skin. Much more comfortable….but still extremely hot. (Did I happen to mention that Vegas was experiencing record high temperatures while we were in town?!?!)
Please forgive me for the disorganized-ness of these pictures…this is pretty much how I took them. As we walked by…with no rhyme or reason. Just whatever looked cool and caught my eye.
Caesar’s Palace
The view down the Strip while waiting to cross the street
The crowd watching the fountain at the Bellagio
At this point, we waited for the show to end and the crowd to move on….we wanted to get a standing position along the fence for the next show.
While we were waiting, I took a picture of…
The Strip…
Caesar’s Palace…
…and the Bellagio.
Then the show started!
It was damn cool!
I made Mike take video of the fountain. We got a pretty good kick out of people clapping at the end of the show. 🙂
After that, we did a TON of walking. All the way down to the New York-New York and back again to the Mirage. Here are some shots from that walk….
Next up: Hoover Dam!
WOW – these turned out AWESOME! It makes me want to go back so bad! Please tell me what lens you used and your settings. I had a hard time getting shots this good when we went. Then again, I only had my D50 at the time, not my Canon.
Aw! Thanks Stacey! 🙂
I used my kit lens (18-55mm, I think).
My settings were kind of all over the place but roughly:
Av mode
f/5.0-5.6
ISO 1000-1600
SS 1/4 – 1/30
For a lot of the shots, I was leaning up against something stationary to get a steady shot.
