Because I’m an overachiever, don’t need to sleep and enjoy tormenting myself, I decided to take on a new blog-photo-scrap project for 2010. 😉
In a nutshell, Project 365 is about taking a photo each day for a year. This project isn’t something new but this is the first time I’ve decided to take it on. The whole idea is that you’ll capture a bunch of small things that might be missed in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Things I’ll forget about in a week, two weeks or a year. I’m also planning to use this project as a way to work on my photography skills. After taking a photo each day, I’ve gotta learn something, right? 🙂
I plan to take a photo each day and then prepare a scrap page each week to document the year. Each page will have 7 photos and journaling to go along with each picture.
I promise to take pictures each day but I make no promises on keeping up with the scrapping side of the project as life may get in the way. I will eventually scrap 53 layouts (yes, there are 53 weeks this year). I plan to post the layouts as they are completed. Hopefully, they’ll be completed before mid-2011. 😉
I don’t plan to post the individual pictures on the blog on a daily basis. I figure many of the pictures I’ll be using in the P365 project are going to be ones that I post and blog about anyway. No sense in having duplicate blog posts, right? Who has time for that?!?! 🙂
I haven’t really decided what the future will be for my 52 weeks project. It’s starting to feel a little forced and stale to me at this point. Right now, I’m throwing around the idea of finishing out year 2 and just incorporating the “mommy and me” shots into the P365 project. I’m a little concerned that I’ll disappear from all of the family photos when I stop doing that project. But I’m already going to be taking tons of pictures, surely I’ll have some of me with the boys. I don’t know. I can’t decide…we shall see.
And since you’re probably wondering, I already took today’s picture, popped in my layout and journaled about it. 😉
